The Healthy Home Audit

Because your home should support your health - not harm it.

The Healthy Home Audit is a comprehensive, science-backed assessment that identifies environmental stressors affecting your home’s health - from mould and air quality to chemical exposure and electromagnetic fields (EMFs).
Conducted by a qualified Building Biologist, this audit gives you the clarity and confidence to make informed, health-conscious improvements that support your family’s wellbeing every day.

1. Local Environment & Outdoor Pollution Review

Before your on-site visit, we research your local area to identify potential sources of outdoor pollution - such as traffic corridors, industrial activity, or nearby agriculture.
You’ll gain insights into how these external factors may influence your air quality, electromagnetic environment, and overall indoor health.

2. Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Assessment

A detailed EMF investigation identifies sources and strengths of non-ionising radiation throughout your home - with a special focus on bedrooms and living areas where you spend the most time.

Using professional-grade meters, we measure:

  • AC Magnetic Fields – from wiring, switchboards, power lines, and appliances

  • Electric Fields – using body voltage testing and NFA1000 instrumentation

  • Dirty Electricity – microsurge pollution from electronics and solar inverters

  • Radiofrequency (RF) Radiation – from Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cordless phones, mobile and 5G signals

An outdoor scan also identifies nearby transmission towers and other external emitters.

You’ll receive a tailored mitigation plan with practical steps to reduce exposure and improve your indoor environment.

3. Indoor Air Quality & Allergen Review

Clean, breathable air is essential for wellbeing. We assess your home’s air quality, building materials, furnishings, and ventilation design to identify hidden irritants and allergens.

Real-time testing includes:
PM2.5 | Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) | VOCs | Temperature | Relative Humidity | Air Pressure | Ozone

Results are benchmarked against Building Biology standards and environmental health guidelines.

You’ll receive targeted recommendations to improve ventilation, filtration, and air freshness naturally and effectively..

4. Moisture & Visual Inspection

Moisture is one of the leading causes of unhealthy homes.
We perform a comprehensive visual and moisture inspection throughout your property: including walls, ceilings, and floors using professional moisture meters (e.g. MMS3).

We assess:

  • Signs of dampness, condensation, or staining

  • Poor ventilation areas and potential water ingress points

  • Building materials prone to holding moisture

  • Roof space and subfloor (if accessible)

You’ll receive practical recommendations to address moisture management, prevent mould growth, and maintain long-term indoor comfort.

5. Product & Chemical Exposure Review

We review your cleaning, personal care, and household products to uncover hidden toxins and misleading “greenwashing.”
You’ll learn how to read labels confidently, identify common problem ingredients, and replace them with safer, non-toxic alternatives.

6. Kitchen & Water Health Review

Your kitchen is at the heart of your home and also a key source of potential exposures.

We evaluate:

  • Pantry & Fridge Items: identifying additives and food contaminants

  • Cookware & Storage: checking for harmful coatings and plastics

  • Water Quality: understanding what’s in your tap water and matching you with the right filtration system for your family’s needs

Optional water testing can be arranged for additional lab analysis.

7. Carbon Monoxide & Combustion Safety

If your home uses gas appliances, we’ll test for leaks and incomplete combustion to protect your family from carbon monoxide, an invisible yet dangerous pollutant often overlooked.

8. Personalised Healthy Home Report

After the on-site audit, you’ll receive a detailed written report summarising all findings, test results, and prioritised recommendations.
Each recommendation is practical, clearly explained, and tailored to your unique lifestyle, health goals, and property type

Duration & Pricing

On-site audit: 2-3 hours

  1. Prices start from $1,400 (depending on property size and scope)

  2. 50% deposit required to secure your booking; balance due prior to report delivery
